On Friday 18th of August, staff at The Disability Resource Centre were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Mr Vinod Tailor.

Friday was quite a busy day, in addition to the regular Personal Assistant recruitment morning, BIG Health and Fitness exercise class and lottery funded employability training class, the team in the Equipment Display area were busy with carers and service users browsing the new and second hand aids and adaptations.
Vinod is an inspirational person who came to the UK at a very young age from Uganda and worked his way up to the prestigious position of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire.

Vinod was very interested in the services that are delivered and spent a good while talking to users, staff and volunteers and was also very generous with ideas for fundraising and support for the charity.
The DRC has some exciting new ventures in addition to the work that is currently undertaken in supporting disabled people in Luton and Bedfordshire.
For more information about what The DRC offers please drop in, email or call The DRC who will be very happy to discuss your social and health care needs.
